Hello Families!
I pray that you are keeping the Christmas Spirit alive as we approach Mid-January! It is so easy to get caught up in our regular routines and forget that our #1 job as Christians is to strive to live a Christ-like existence each day.
Here are a few reminders for this week:
1. Tonight (Wednesday) is our Habitat for Humanity dinner. We will be hosting 10 students from Brown University who are here in Florida working on a Habitat build. Bring a dish to share and join us at 5:30pm for a fun time of fellowship and great food!
2. Kids Khoir started last night. There were some folks who signed-up and did not attend. Miss Joyce is planning a performance for the Kids in March and we need as many kids as possible to participate. It takes a lot of time and effort to make this show happen so let's try to get our kids to rehearsal for one hour each week. They will truly enjoy it a (and you will also enjoy the performance). If you need help with transportation, please let me know. They will rehearse each Tuesday from 5pm-6pm in the choir room (use the front entrance).
3. Our Practical Divinity Series -Budgeting and Money Management begins this coming Friday at 6pm in Fellowship Hall. Child Care will be provided. I HIGHLY recommend this workshop - I know I will be attending. Bring a brown bag dinner and join us on Friday evening at 6pm for this empowering workshop.
4. Stay tuned for some exciting activities being planned by Ms. Christin and Ms. Jennifer for the children and youth. We will be sharing specifics in next week's update.
5. We have had to change the dates for our Family Retreat.
New Dates: April 29-May 1
The original dates that we picked (April1-3) were not available.
Please be sure to put these new dates on your calendar.
More information will be published in the next few weeks.
Grace and Peace
