Merry Christmas Everyone!

I pray that you are all able to find some time this week to stop, be still and listen for God's whispers as we get ready to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior! This time of year can be overwhelming and hectic. In the hustle and bustle it is very easy to lose sight of the true reason for the season, so I pray that each of you will be able to take a deep breath and remember just how much God loves you!
A few reminders and updates:
1. Christmas Eve services are at 6pm and 8pm - both candlelight services. If you or your children are acolyting or reading, please arrive about 10 minutes early so we can get you informed and ready to go.
2. The Family Potluck New Year's Eve celebration and Youth/Kid's Lock-in is scheduled for 7pm on New Year's Eve (Dec 31st) in Fellowship Hall. We will have goodies to eat, games and we will get the big screen TV up and running to watch the ball drop. The Youth and kids (Elementary school age and up) are invited to stay over for a lock-in following the celebration. Miss Jennifer, Miss Christin and a few other chaperones will be on hand to supervise. The pick-up time on New Year's Day is 10:30am. Please sign up on your connect card this week for both these events or respond to this email to rsvp so we can get a sense of how many people will be attending. For the party, please bring a tray of appetizer or picky type food. Instead of a full dinner we will be just "picking" all night!
3.  You are all invited to a potluck brunch at the parsonage at 11am on New Year's Day. You will see this advertised in the bulletin this week. Please sign-up on your connect card or by responding to this email. It should work out fine for you to pick up your kids at the church and then stop by the Parsonage!
Merry Christmas!

A Few Important Holiday Reminders:

1. There is cantata rehearsal tonight at 7pm. Please be sure to check out the other rehearsal times that were listed in the bulletin.

2. There is no parent's connect group tomorrow evening (Wednesday). All of the kids will be meeting with Ms. Jennifer after dinner (Ms, Christin is unavailable). If you wish to attend please bring a main dish for dinner to share and you can stay with the kids or leave them for an hour or so after dinner with Ms. Jennifer. Lou, Sara and I will not be able to attend. Since this is the last week of this connect group cycle, if you wish to skip the night that would be fine also, but please let us know if you will NOT be attending so Ms. Jennifer knows what she needs to do.

3. Kid's Klub is this coming Sunday from 12:15pm -2:15pm. Thank you to Chikari and family for providing lunch for the kids.

4. Family Ministries Planning Meeting will take place during Kid's Klub this coming Sunday, December 5th. Lunch will be served. Please join us in the Sunday School room off of Fellowship Hall (double glass doors) to work on our planning for next year.

5. Don't forget our caroling trip this coming Saturday Night, December 4th. We will meet at the church at 6:30pm. We must leave the church by 6:40pm so please be on time. Have you kids wear a red shirt and a Santa hat, reindeer antlers or something along those lines.

6. Letters are going out this week with information on Snowy Night. be sure to check your mailbox.

7. Lastly, Ms Joyce has only 7 children signed up for Kids Khoir. We must have more children signed up in order for us to go forward with this venture. I know many of you are not used to having to fill out sign up sheets etc. and we have, in the past allowed folks to just "show up" but this choir is a very labor intensive project and we need to know just how many kids we have committed to it before we can proceed. Please respond to this email if your child will be joining the Kids Khoir that will rehearse on Tuesdays at 5pm.
